Healthier Kids In Oklahoma

The Tulsa World reports that child immunizations in our state have reached their highest level in state history - 78.5% by the age of 35 months.

This is the kind of positive news we have all come to expect from state government since Governor Brad Henry took office in 2003.  The OK BY ONE program, implemented during his tenure, and managed by the State Health Department has had a significant impact in protecting the youngest in our society.   The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ranks us 15th in the US, up from 22nd place just two years ago.

This is the kind of positive leadership we need more of in government that provides real dividends, in this case making kids healthier in Oklahoma.
